Casper, WY – The Casper Spuds are proud to announce their 2025 Opening Day will take place on Friday, May 23, against the Oahe Zap, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Mountain Time at Mike Lansing Field.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early for a special championship flag raising ceremony at 6:15 p.m., as the Spuds celebrate their 2024 Independence League Baseball (ILB) Championship. The ceremony will honor the team’s hard work and dedication during last season’s historic run.
Adding to the excitement, the Spuds will also unveil the inaugural class of the Spuds Legacy Club, a new tradition honoring players who have made a lasting impact on the organization. The Class of 2025 includes:

“We can’t wait to welcome Spuds fans back to the ballpark and celebrate the incredible accomplishment of our 2024 record-breaking team,” said Paul Hack, the team's co-owner. “Opening Day is always exciting, but this year is extra special.”
The evening will feature exciting baseball, fan engagement, and family-friendly fun as the Spuds kick off what promises to be another thrilling season.
