Independence Day 250 at the Ford Wyoming Center

Casper, WY — [May 20, 2026] — In 2026, America turns 250, and the Ford Wyoming Center is inviting the community to celebrate in a big way with Independence Day 250, a free, family-friendly Fourth of July event on Saturday, July 4, 2026, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

This special celebration will honor the nation’s semi-quincentennial with an afternoon and evening packed with patriotic fun, community spirit, and one of Casper’s favorite holiday traditions, a spectacular fireworks finale.
Guests can enjoy a wide variety of attractions and activities throughout the day, including:

  • Seven inflatable attractions for all ages, open from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m.
    • Dual Lane Fun Slide
    • Rockwall Slide
    • Two Bounce Houses
    • Bungee Run
    • Obstacle Course
    • Bungee Trampoline
  • Wagon rides presented by Historic Trails West from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Interactive hand cart display from Martin’s Cove from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • A Patriotic Bike, Wagon & Stroller Parade
  • Local vendors, artisans, food trucks, and community booths
  • Kids Market featuring young entrepreneurs ages 5–17 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Beer Garden operated by the Ford Wyoming Center Food & Beverage Department
  • Live entertainment starting at 4:00 p.m.
    • Sparrow Bones
    • Ted LaRocca and the Creole Gentlemen
    • Cory McDaniel Duo
    • A Band Named Sue
    • Rumble Trunk
  • Additional activities and still being finalized
“We’re proud to help lead Casper’s celebration of America’s 250th birthday,” said event organizers. “This will be more than a fireworks show, it will be a community gathering that celebrates freedom, family, and the spirit that makes Wyoming special.”

The event is sponsored in part by The City of Casper, Oak View Group, Visit Casper, the McMurry Foundation, Air Methods, Hat Six Travel Center, Sonic Drive In, and Spectrum Reach.

Admission and parking are free. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the festivities from the grassy hill and plaza areas. Outside alcohol and glass containers are prohibited. The Ford Wyoming Center concourse will be open to access the ATM and restrooms as well as provide an area for cooling off.

Vendor registration remains open, and local businesses, makers, food vendors, and organizations are encouraged to participate.
