Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming Launches First-Ever Youth Emcee Talent Showcase Following

Casper, WY – After 27 years of exceptional leadership behind the microphone by legendary Wyoming broadcasters Brian Scott and Bob Price, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming (BGCCW) is launching a new tradition that places youth in the spotlight.

For nearly three decades, Scott and Price served as the voices of the organization's Annual Awards & Recognition Breakfast, helping inspire thousands of community members while celebrating the impact of Boys & Girls Clubs across Central Wyoming. This year, for the first time, Club youth members will have the opportunity to serve as emcee for BGCCW's signature fundraising event.

The inaugural Youth Emcee Talent Showcase was held Tuesday, July 21, 2026, bringing together Club youth from across BGCCW's Clubs to compete for the opportunity to serve as official emcees of the 2026 Annual Awards & Recognition Breakfast on September 16, 2026, at the Ford Wyoming Center.

Seven Club youth, Brook, Seth, Landon, Brynn, Jase, Derrek, and Kaycee, participated in the inaugural showcase by presenting a designated segment from the previous year's Awards Breakfast script while incorporating their own personality, style, and delivery. Each presentation was evaluated by an independent panel of judges based on communication skills, confidence and stage presence, leadership potential, authenticity, creativity, and the ability to inspire others.

"This competition is just the beginning of the experience for these young leaders," said Ashley Bright, CEO of BGCCW. "Following the auditions, participants will receive individualized coaching and mentoring from BGCCW staff as they prepare for the Annual Awards & Recognition Breakfast. The Youth Emcee Talent Showcase reflects our commitment to developing leadership skills that will serve Club youth far beyond the stage."

“Every contestant brought something special to the stage, and I was so impressed by the preparation, confidence, and genuine excitement each of them showed,” said Trisha Isais, Breakfast Co-Chair. “Our very first Youth Emcee Competition was about so much more than finding a winner. It gave these incredible Club teens the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, strengthen their leadership skills, and discover the power of their own voice. Watching them grow throughout the experience was truly inspiring.” 

A panel of community leaders volunteered their time to judge the showcase, including Connor Diller, Service Manager at Foss Toyota of Casper; Rachel Stone, Art Teacher at Wyoming Classical Academy; Trisha Isais, owner of Caring Transitions and Exceptional Cleaning Service LLC; and Kelly Buckingham, Senior IT Systems Analyst for First Northern Bank of Wyoming in Buffalo.
