CASPER, WYOMING — As Wyoming temperatures begin to drop and families prepare for the colder months ahead, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming (BGCCW) is encouraging local families to keep their children active, connected, and engaged through its upcoming Indoor Soccer League, running October 26 through December 10, 2026.
With shorter days and colder weather limiting opportunities for outdoor recreation, finding ways for young people to stay physically active is more important than ever. Regular physical activity supports physical fitness, builds healthy habits, and can contribute to improved mental well-being. Organized sports also provide young people with opportunities to develop friendships, build confidence, learn teamwork, and experience a sense of belonging.
“Keeping kids active during the colder months is about much more than exercise,” said D.C. Martinez, Athletics Director for Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming. “Sports give young people a positive place to go, teammates to connect with, and opportunities to build confidence, learn discipline, and develop healthy habits. We want every child to have the opportunity to stay active, make friends, and continue growing both on and off the field.”
The BGCCW Indoor Soccer League welcomes youth in kindergarten through eighth grade, offering age-appropriate sessions designed to help participants build soccer skills, stay active, and enjoy the game in a structured environment.
