UW Extension Specialist, Cole Ehmke, covers agricultural entrepreneurship and personal financial management. Projects include a CSA manager manual, supporting food programs to promote local production and consumption, and coordinating and teaching Annie’s Project management training classes for women in Ag. He also works with individuals exploring new Ag ventures. Cole was a Fulbright Scholar to the University of Sydney, Australia, where he received his MS degree.

He received the 2016 Achievement Award from the National Assn. of County Agriculture Agents.

The 2016 recipient of the American Horticultural Society's Paul Ecke Jr. Commercial Award, Scott has selected, discovered and bred numerous plants. His horticultural detective work has led to exciting finds, such as the last surviving apple tree planted by Johnny Appleseed. Scott ran his own edible plant nursery before joining Fort Collins Wholesale Nursery, where he has spent the last 30 years as the plant propagator. Scott graduated from CSU in 1994 with a B.S. in Horticulture.

Stationed at the UW Sheridan Research and Extension Center, Sadanand received his Ph.D in Horiticulture at University of Florida in 2004. He received the Young Scientist Award in Vitro Biology in 2013.

Keeping bees in his parents’ backyard.in 1979, led to a job with a small, commercial apiary in N. Colorado. About 4 years ago, Tate and his wife were looking for an avocation to enjoy together after their son had gone off to college. On a whim, he suggested beekeeping. Since then, Heather and Tate have worked to educate, share and mentor new keepers through the Natrona County Beekeeping Association.
