DESCRIPTION:A community discussion and reception on dementia will be held on Wednesday\, November 7 at 6 p.m. at the Natrona County Library. Kyle Page\, PhD\, ABPP\, will give a presentation titled\, "When Dementia Comes to Dinner: Acknowledging the Changes\, Fears and Pursuing Positive Aging" followed by a panel discussion comprised of Kyle Page\, PhD\, ABPP\; David Wheeler\, MD\; Neil Short\, Certified Trainer\; and Scott Soulek\, RPH. A reception and resource fair will follow. Sponsored by the Wyoming Center on Aging\, Wyoming Dementia Care\, Casper College\, and Natrona County Library. Call 577-7323 for more information.\n\n \n\nDr. Kyle Page is a board-certified geriatric psychologist who focuses on improving dementia care skills for healthcare providers and families. He earned his PhD from the University of North Texas and completed a fellowship in clinical geropsychologyat the VA Boston Healthcare System. Formally from the Cheyenne VA Medical Center\, Dr. Page currently works on a secured dementia unit at the Central IowaVAhospital and serves as a national VA training consultant\, helping other VA nursing home units in implementing a dementia behavior management program. His clinical focus is on dementia behavior management\, staff training\, and evaluating decision-making abilities in older adults.
