DESCRIPTION:Monday\, November 19\, 2018 at 7:30 PM   9:30 PM\n\n \n\nRestoration Church\n\n411 S Walsh Dr\, Casper\, Wyoming 82609\n\n \n\n \n\nMany Historians dubbed it "The Great Migration of 1843" or the "Wagon Train of 1843". 2018 celebrates the 175th anniversary (Demisemiseptcentennial) of the fascinating historic event ...the Oregon Trail.\n\n \n\n"Buffalo Bill" and Dr Jo (Flower of the Prairie) are offering a music extravaganza of songs and stories of the Oregon Trail in celebration of the 175 year anniversary of this historic migration.\n\n \n\nThe presentations has many original and historical songs and includes an accompanying multi-media presentation of historical paintings and photographs\, enhancing the celebration of this event. Also presented are stories in Traditional Native American Indian Sign Language\, information on the Oregon/California Trail and Morman Trail\, The Donner Party\, Gold Rush and much more. All of thispresented by "Buffalo Bill" and Dr Jo performing on the Fiddle\, Banjo\, Mandolin\, Guitar with exceptional Vocal Harmonies. \n\n \n\nBill Boycott and Joanne Orr present\, cowboy and western American folk music in the rich spirit of the Rocky Mountain West\, harmonizing the good old western songs of long ago plus many original songs on the fiddle\, banjo\, mandolin\, guitar.\n\n \n\nBill and Joanne live in Lander\, WY. Bill has been a full time entertainer and world class yodeler for over 30 years. He was also a member of the Grammy award winning New Christy Minstrels from 2005-2008. \n\n \n\nJoanne performs on vocals\, banjo\, and guitar. She was a strolling minstrel for years with the Henry Ford Museum /Greenfield Village Players\, in Dearborn MI\, where she met Bill. Together they have been performing and touring nationwide for the past 11 years.\n\n \n\nBill and Joanne are winners of a Western Music Associations Harmony Duo Award.\n\n \n\nPartial funding is from the Schneider and Cate Funds in the Wyoming Community Foundation-Casper\, and Natrona School District No. 1.
